- 1). Draw a slightly curved line for the base of the feather.
- 2). Sketch the shape of the feather around the base, keeping the tip either rounded or pointed. Leave some of the stem of the feather showing.
- 3). Sketch a small rectangle with jagged lines that connects the feather to the base.
- 4). Thicken the stem of the feather.
- 5). Add details such as split ends, scratches, shading at the bottom of the feather and over the center lines to add realistic embellishments.
