Stop Selling To Your Friends and Family

Over the course of 50-60 years that the network marketing, home based business industry has been around, this is the core belief. If someone was to build a business, then you "make a list", review it and share your opportunity with those people. Most people on the list would be your friends and family.

Now, over the years, so many people do this that they end up being the guy (or gal) that is always in some "business opportunity" and you are now at risk to have your credibility shot anytime you contact your friends and family. Well, there is good news and there is bad news!

The Good news is that you are doing what most people will NEVER do. That is to be persistently achieving your goals and dreams by any means necessary. The Bad news is that no one takes you seriously anymore. Does that mean you stop sharing (really marketing) your opportunity with friends and family? Absolutely not! If you believe what you are doing is right then you should continue to go for it. But eventually you will run out of "warm market" prospects.

What do you do then?

The reason I feel compelled to share this article is because I am talking about myself. When I started my first, second, third, fourth home-based business network marketing opportunity, I told all my friends and family. Some got involved most did not and none had success. So, of course, they swore of network marketing. Well, I didn't. I kept plugging away at the industry and found myself online, meeting new people through social media and people actually looking for opportunities. Can you believe that? Instead of hunting my friends and family, I was the hunted.

I would encourage you to start building relationships online with people that actually WANT to be involved in a home based business network marketing opportunity. I found very essential tools that help me find and build relationships with new people everyday online and I encourage you to go down the same path.
