  Whether you have traveled to Africa or simply love wild animals, you can choose a safari theme for your home. A bathroom works well for the safari theme because it is small enough that the safari look will not overpower the space. You can carry this safari theme throughout the bathroom, from the colors and art you use to the accessories and fabric you select. Choose complementary items to carry the theme even further.
  
  

Walls

• Use earth tones on your walls to reflect the safari theme. Taupes, tans, browns and golds can bring out the safari look in your bathroom. Choose a paint color in one of these shades, and select a glossy finish. If you're artistic, you can paint a giraffe-spots paint treatment on the wall, as suggested by HGTV. This subtle animal print brings out the safari theme without appearing overdone. If you choose a solid color for the walls, consider an animal-print wallpaper border, such as leopard print, for the top of the walls.

• Animal photographs or African-themed art can add a decorative touch to your safari bathroom walls. If you have personal photos from your trip to Africa, blow up a couple of your favorites, frame them and hang them on the wall. You can also find African-themed art---which may include images of couples, a man with an animal or an animal alone---online and in many art stores. • Choose everyday bathroom accessories that add a touch of the wild to your bathroom. Include a bathroom rug in an animal print or a shower curtain with classic safari animals, such as elephants, printed on it. Use natural-looking wooden baskets, toothbrush holders, tissue holders and cups for bathroom accessories. Alternatively, you can find animal-print bathroom accessories at many online retailers, in everything from leopard print to zebra print. Fabric

• Use richly colored fabrics for your window curtains to go along with your safari theme. If you choose a shade of brown for your wall, a deep gold curtain will complement the shade. You can also choose more obvious safari prints for your window curtains---animal print fabrics or fabrics with African animals on them is a more literal interpretation of the safari theme. Don't overdo it on the animal print, however. If you choose an animal-print wallpaper or shower curtain, choose a solid fabric for your windows.
