How to Sell and Buy Cars
Make sure you have a title in hand when you buy a car. Make sure the vehicle has no mechanical problems, either looking at it yourself or taking it to a local reputable mechanic. Make sure the vehicle doesn't have any accident history that may be covered up. Make sure it will pass local emissions testing if you have that in your community.
I've received many phone calls from people, especially ladies, thanking me for posting that video. I have seen many people get ripped off by mechanics, individuals and car dealers.
Now how to sell cars; always prepare your vehicles for sale. Clean and detail your vehicles. Change the oil, air cleaner, top off the fluids such as brake, windshield washer, coolant etc., I can remember my late father showing me as a child an engine and what to look for, how to check the oil, inspect the coolant and inspect a car. He would say if someone doesn't change the oil they don't take care of their car and to walk away from that vehicle.
I have had vehicles that I just picked up at an auction or took in on trade and a customer looked at it before I had prepped the car and the oil looked black as coal, the customer wasn't interested then. Never show a vehicle unless it's ready for sale, it will cost you a sale I promise you.
Check the book Learn The Car Business For Fun & Profit and make appropriate adjustments for options such as sunroof, sport wheels, 4x4, leather etc. If the vehicle is a plain Jane such as a five speed pickup truck with no power windows and no AC and you live in Miami Florida you may set on the truck while.
