How do I Replace Broken Levolor Blinds?
- 1). Run one piece of yarn through the hole at each side of the blinds. Continue to pass the yarn through until you reach the broken slat. Single the slat out and pass a second string of yarn through the holes below the broken slat on both sides. Tie all four sections of yarn up to secure the slats stay together.
- 2). Lay the mini blinds on a flat surface and pop the plastic caps off the bottom of the mini blinds with a screwdriver. The plastic cap is used to protect the knot underneath. Untie the knots from the underside of the head rail and pull the string up through the blinds until you reach the broken slat.
- 3). Slide the broken slat out the side of the blinds. Discard this slat, as it is no longer a useable piece.
- 4). Insert a new blind through the side of the blinds, resting it on the string harness. Pull the blind string through the new slat and continue down to the bottom rail.
- 5). Retie the knot in the string and recap the end. Cut all four sections of yarn from the blinds and rehang to use.
