Many artisans and crafters make their home in the renovated houses and apartment buildings that line the streets. Cathedral is a one of Regina's greatest triumphs. Once a decaying and crime ridden area, the neighborhood has been transformed into a quirky, free spirited area that is perfect for young artists and twenty somethings seeking a funky atmosphere in which to make their homes. The festival draws tens of thousands of people to the Cathedral area from all over Saskatchewan.

    Warehouse

    • The Warehouse region in Regina is the city's business center. An expansive area, covering more than 80 city blocks, it's home to more than 600 businesses. Chicago style architecture is favored here with the use of internal structural support over exterior wall support. This allows building to be built taller and allows their interiors to be very expansive and open. As a result of this, the Warehouse district is teeming with new condos and lofts. As this is business central for Regina, residents are never far away from beauty salons, grocery stores, restaurants and pubs. The Warehouse is becoming increasingly popular with young professionals who find not only employment here but a great urban environment.

    Downtown

    • The heart of Regina resides Downtown. This is truly the center of activity for this growing city. All government buildings are here along with an array of commerce headquarters. Blocks of bars and restaurants ensure that the nightlife here is always alive. Regina is the sunniest capital city in Canada and Downtown dwellers and businesses take full advantage of this. Almost all pubs and restaurants have outdoor patio space ideal for soaking up some rays. Residential space in Downtown is relegated to apartments, condos and lofts. Over 1,000 people of all ages call this area home. Due to this neighborhood being truly at the heart of Regina, you can expect to pay more to live Downtown than in any other area of the city.
