    • 1). Place one piece of paper on a flat surface in front of you. Turn the paper so that the colored side is facing down. Rotate the paper so that it looks like a diamond, not a square.

    • 2). Fold the bottom point of the diamond up and align it with the top point. Crease well along this fold to create a triangle. Unfold the fold that you just made.

    • 3). Fold the bottom point up again just so that it touches the crease you made in Step 2. Press firmly along the fold to hold it in place. Turn the paper over.

    • 4). Bring the left point over across the front and match it up to the right point. Crease along this fold. Fold back the top flap so that you create an edge that aligns with the diagonal edge beneath; press along this fold.

    • 5). Turn the paper over. Fold down the new top flap so the edge aligns with the existing diagonal and crease it. Fold the newly made top flap over again so the inner diagonal lines up with the outer diagonal and crease the fold well.

    • 6). Turn the paper over again. You will now have a new top flap on this side. Fold the inner diagonal of this flap so that it matches up with the outer diagonal and press the crease into place.

    • 7). Gently open up the half Christmas tree you have made. Repeat Steps 1 to 6 with the second piece of paper and tape the halves back-to-back to create a full tree. Decorate your origami Christmas tree as you wish.
