How to Make a Charlie Brown Costume
- 1). Buy a gold t-shirt and black fabric at Wal-Mart or a craft store such as Michael's. Cut a zigzag pattern out of the black fabric using fabric scissors and adhere to the gold t-shirt by sewing or sticking one quarter from the bottom of the shirt.
- 2). Make a Charlie Brown mask using paper mache. Boil 4 cups of water while mixing 2 cups of water with 1 cup of flour in a plastic container.
- 3). Add flour and water mixture to the boiling water and let simmer until smooth for about 3 minutes. Add salt and let cool before dipping newspaper into mixture.
- 4). Dip newspaper into the mixture one piece at a time. Squeeze extra paste off the strip before placing the piece on a beach ball. Cover until the base, except for an opening in the bottom for the costume wearer's head, newspaper strips smoothing the strips as you place them.
- 5). Let the paper mache dry for 24 hours, add another layer and let it dry again for 24 hours. Add 3 layers in total. Once it dries let the air out of the beach ball and remove it.
- 6). Cut eyes into the head and cover the eyes with sheer black fabric. Paint the head flesh color and draw a Charlie Brown expression and Charlie Brown curl on the forehead. Complete the outfit with dark shoes and gold socks.
