How to Make an Easter Basket for a Man
- 1). Choose a basket that is light blue, dark blue or wood-toned. Avoid pink or yellow ones -- these colors are traditionally associated with women. Use bows or ribbons in dark, masculine colors and patterns such as deep green or plaid.
- 2). Place grown-up gifts in the baskets. Select a bottle of wine, gourmet chocolates or a subscription to a magazine. Include good quality tea, coffee, aged cheese or spreads. Put items such as a crucifix, small Bible or a mug with religious icons in the basket if Easter is more of a religious celebration than cultural holiday for your special guy.
- 3). Add traditional favorites from your man's past such chocolate-covered eggs, marzipan candy or cupcakes.
- 4). Insert colored crinkle paper in the basket around the gifts. Arrange the gifts so that they appear spread out within the basket -- taller items, such as wine bottles, should go in the middle, with smaller items surrounding them.
- 5). Wrap up the basket in clear or lightly-tinted plastic wrap. Leave no more than three inches of surplus over the handle. Tie the plastic together using a bow or clear satin tape, which will appear invisible on the wrap.
