    Customer Care

    • Business studies will often include different courses in customer care, which focus on how to handle customer complaints, how to identify potential customers, how to research competitors and how to effectively present the company to customers.       Customer care courses generally encompass three different levels. The first level covers the basic customer care skills and techniques such as refunds and handling customer problems. Level two covers how to handle special requests from customers as well as attract new customers. Level three course covers more advanced customer care techniques such as how to present the business, identify a new customer base and identify competitors.

    Management Principles

    • Management principles is another multi-level course in business studies. Typically, the first level covers basic management procedures such as interviewing employees and the role of a manager. The advanced level courses in management principles also cover the five keys of management and include small business principles for individuals seeking to start their own businesses.

    International Business Studies

    • A complete course in international business studies can be found at different four-year colleges and universities. This type of business studies program requires completion of many individual courses. Foreign language studies, different types of international businesses organizations, marketing to international businesses, importing and exporting, the organization of a supply chain and other international business studies are covered in this type of business studies program.

    Project Management

    • Every business studies program has courses in project management. Courses in this business studies discipline include management a project budget, negotiating with vendors, time management and planning the project. A common course in project management provides advanced training to experienced project managers by introducing them to the techniques and skills being utilized with all the advancement of technology. Diagramming, charts, computer evaluations of risk assessment and other technological programs are also common within the project management course of business study.
