    • 1). Measure the dimensions of the comforter that will be covered.

    • 2). Choose two top sheets of a pattern or color that you like that are at least two inches larger than the comforter you will be covering. Trim the top sheets to the dimensions measured in Step 1. (Add two inches).

    • 3). Lay one sheet onto a large work surface (the floor would be fine) with right side facing up. Place the second sheet on top of the first with wrong side facing up. Align edges and corners and pin to secure.

    • 4). Sew four corners and three sides of the top sheets together using a 1/2-inch seam allowance. Leave one edge open.

    • 5). Press under 1/2-inch along both open edges of the top sheets. This should match the amount of the seam you sewed around the other three edges.

    • 6). Affix the self-adhesive velcro to both pressed edges of the top sheets. The male velcro side goes on one edge and the female velcro side goes on the other edge.

    • 7). Turn the duvet cover right side out and pull out all the corners to make them pointed and sharp.

    • 8). Press all the edges of the duvet cover.

    • 9). Insert the comforter into the duvet and arrange it so that it fills up the duvet and is flat and neat.

Close the velcro edge to finish the duvet.
