    • 4). Align the print head if there is unevenness in the nozzle check patterns. Click the "Maintenance" tab on the Printer Properties screen. Click "Print Head Alignment." Click "OK" on the confirmation window. Examine the printout. Select the most even patterns in each column. Click "OK."

    • 5). Increase the print quality settings if colors are streaked or uneven. Click the "Main" tab from the Printer Properties screen. Click "High" under "Print Quality."

    • 6). Check for paper jams if a print job stops before it is completed. Slowly pull the paper out of the feeder or output slot. Open the front cover if the paper tears. Remove the piece that remains inside the printer. Close the front cover.

    • 7). Replace the ink cartridges if a "Low Ink" warning is displayed on the screen when printing.
