How to Revive Drooping Roses
- 1). Pull the drooping blooms from the vase. If you have a large bouquet of roses, remove only the roses that are drooping, leaving the others in the water.
- 2). Trim the stems. With your garden shears, snip off about an inch of the rose's stem at an angle of 45 degrees.
- 3). Put the stem back into water. According to Worldwide Flowers Direct, in 30 seconds, an air bubble can form at the cut end of a rose's stem, preventing the rose from taking up water. Use a timer if you have to, but return the newly trimmed stem to the water within half a minute of cutting it.
