- 1). Unplug the Frigidaire front load washer or switch off the power to the circuit where the washing machine is installed.
- 2). Open the front door of the machine.
- 3). Look for the spring clamp that holds the rubber boot for the drum in place. It is located just beneath the door. Pop the clamp off with a screwdriver. Remove the boot.
- 4). Look on the right inside of the machine to locate the lock mechanism. It is held in place by a series of screws. Remove these with a screwdriver. Pull the door assembly off the inside wall of the washer, but exercise caution as it is still connected to a wiring harness.
- 5). Unclip the plastic connections on the door lock wiring harness with your fingers.
- 6). Remove the door lock from the Frigidaire front load washer drum.
