As young people we dream of finding a buried treasure or discovering something, and so a young adults book is wise to use such desires to thrust their mystery and intrigue into a genre that kids and young adults will read.
What if I told you that I found such a book that was of interest and certainly worth reading for a young adult or teen? Would you consider buying it for your teen; if so, let me go ahead and recommend it to you.
The book is: "Adventure Net; The Silver Boulder - Who Will Find the Lost Fortune" by Andrea Spalding and David Spalding; Whitecap Books Publishing, Toronto, Canada; 2000.
ISBN: 1-55285-105-2.
This fictional work is also a sort of historical fiction book for teens and young adults.
Whereas the characters are fictional, the backdrop certainly isn't and the events are authentic to that past period.
You know, these days it is so hard to find suitable reading material for our kids, so this book is definitely a breath of fresh air.
Still, not knowing that for sure, I took it upon myself to read it first and I am very glad I did, I found the story, plot and characters to have good morals, and the lessons in the book good for folks of any age.
After reading the book, I noted that the authors have written several other books, and I assume they took the same care in writing those.
I am going to recommend this book, as well as the others in this series for you and your family.
Please consider this.
