How to Make a Fan Produce Colder Air

    • 1). Step outside to see if the air is cooler than the interior air of the room. Open a window if this is the case. Place the fan in the open window, making sure it's securely in place. Turn the fan on and it will blow colder air than what's in the room by sucking in the exterior air.

    • 2). Place the fan in front of a vent for your central air conditioning system. Turn on your central air and turn on the fan. The fan will blow the cool air that's coming out of the vent and distribute it throughout the room.

    • 3). Place a table in front of a window-unit air conditioner. Put the fan on the table so that it's on the same level as the air conditioner's vent. Switch on the fan and turn the air conditioner on. The air blowing from the fan will be cooler than the air in the room.
