- 1). Remove any shelves or drawers blocking the shelf support. To remove the shelves, lift them off of the supports and remove. To remove the drawers, pull them straight out of the refrigerator.
- 2). Remove the old shelf support using pliers. To remove, grasp the support by its base, then rotate it counterclockwise approximately one-half turn. Wiggle the support away from the wall to remove.
- 3). Insert the new shelf support into the slot, inserting the metal retaining clips on the rear horizontally.
- 4). Grasp the base with the pliers, then push the support firmly against the wall and rotate clockwise one-quarter of a turn to lock the support into place.
- 5). Replace the shelves and drawers to complete the installation of the new refrigerator shelf support.
