    • 1). Go online to the Steel Recycling Database and enter your city, state, zip code and type of steel in order to find a metal recycling area near you. The link to the database is in the Resources section.

    • 2). Find a location for Pacific Steel and Recycling, if you're located in the Northwest. It has branches in eight states and can handle your leftover injection molds. You will find a link to their website in Resources.

    • 3). Contact a local injection molding machine manufacturer to inquire if they recycle the molds. If they don't, they will be able to put you in touch with a company that accepts scrap steel for recycling. Many automotive service chains will also accept metal scrap for recycling.
