How to Rename an App From the App Store
- 1). Open your Safari Internet browser on your device.
- 2). Type "Jailbreakme.com" into Safari's URL bar and click "Go."
- 3). Slide the arrow button across the screen -- just like when you unlock your device -- to jailbreak it. The jailbreak should begin installing itself.
- 4). Touch the "OK" button when your screen displays "Cydia has been added to the home screen."
- 5). Power your device down, and then turn it back on.
- 1). Open the Cydia app by touching on it. Touch the "Search" symbol located in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, then type "Icon Renamer" into the search screen.
- 2). Install the Icon Renamer app by touching "Install" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and then touching "Confirm." The app should then download and install itself. Exit Cydia when installation is complete.
- 3). Touch and hold an icon on your device's home screen until all the icons begin to jiggle.
- 4). Tap an icon that you want to rename, and a new notification window pops up, displaying that app's name. Type in the new name that you want, and click "Apply."
- 5). Press the home button, which is the circular button with the square in the middle, to get your icons out of jiggle mode. Your app has now been renamed.
