For Audiobooks Purchased from iTunes

• 1). Connect your iPod to your computer using an iPod USB or FireWire cable.
  
  
• 2). Click on the Audiobooks tab in the iTunes store. Browse the new releases prominently featured on the audiobooks homepage, browse by genre by clicking on the arrow on the right hand side of the audiobooks tab, or simply search the title in the iTunes search bar.
  
  
• 3). Click on your audiobooks library and search for title of the audiobook.
  
  
• 4). Drag and drop each chapter (or set of chapters) associated with the audiobook into your iPod's library and wait for it to sync.
  
  
• 5). Unplug your iPod.
  
  

For Audiobooks Purchased Digitally (non-iTunes)

• 1). Connect your iPod to your computer using an iPod USB or FireWire cable.
  
  
• 2). Purchase a downloadable audiobook from Amazon.com, Audible.com, Recordedbooks.com or any other online seller of downloadable audiobooks.
  
  
• 3). Download each chapter of the audiobook into your default downloads directory.
  
  
• 4). Drag and drop all the audio files associated with the audiobook into iTunes.
  
  
• 5). Search your music library for the audiobook. Select each file associated with the audiobook, then go down the File menu and select Get Info. Click on the Options tab and change the "Media Kind" to audiobook.
  
  
• 6). Drag and drop each chapter into your iPod's library and wait for it to sync.
  
  

For Audiobooks on CD

• 1). Connect your iPod to your computer using an iPod USB or FireWire cable.
  
  
• 2). Open iTunes and insert the first disc of your audiobook.
  
  
• 3). Select the CD, go to "Advanced" from the iTunes menu and select "Get Track Names." If you're not connected to the Internet, you can type in the information for each track on the CD.
  
  
• 4). Click the "Import CD" button located at the bottom of the iTunes window. Eject the disc once all tracks have been imported and repeat the process for each disc.
  
  
• 5). Search your music library for the audiobook. Select each file associated with the audiobook, then go down the File menu and select Get Info. Click on the Options tab and change the "Media Kind" to audiobook.
  
  
• 6). Click on your iTunes audiobook library. Select all files associated with the audiobook, then drag and drop them into your iPod and wait for the files to sync.
