Winters are a time when we need to keep ourselves warm.

These Baseboard Heaters provide the perfect temperatures for room heating.
The baseboard of these Electric Heaters is heated with the help of electric power.
It then warms the air that passes through it and circulates it through convection.
These heaters work best when installed near places from where the air flows in naturally.
They can be installed near the window, for instance.
The heaters are noiseless and this makes them a preferable choice for bedrooms.
There are four types of Baseboard Heaters available:
  • Portable Electric Baseboard Heaters: These are sleek, portable units that can easily be installed in any room.
    They easily fit along any wall and provide effective heating.
  • Residential Convection Heaters: These heaters are available is various sizes ranging from 24 inches wide to 84 inches wide.
  • Hydronic Convection Baseboard Heaters: These contain an immersion heating element in an anti-freeze solution.
    These units are costlier than the conventional models.
  • Commercial Convection Baseboard Heaters: As the name suggests, these are heavy duty heaters for commercial use.
    These vary in size from 24 inches to 120 inches.
  • These efficient Baseboard Heaters come fitted with aluminum heating elements or stainless steel heating elements.
    The aluminum element heats fast and cools fast whereas the stainless steel heating elements heats up slowly and takes time to cool.
    Both provide effective heating.
    These efficient heaters convert almost all energy consumed into heat.
    There are some points that need to be kept in mind for Installing Electric Baseboard Heaters:
  • There should be no drapes or furniture in front of the heater.
    It works best when there is no blocking of air.
  • The coil should be cleaned regularly.
    The accumulated dust on the coil may reduce heat production and shorten the life of the heater.
  • Combustible objects like blankets, draperies etc should be kept at least 6 feet (2 meters) away from the heater.
  • Though these heaters are noiseless, buying a cheap unit may prove otherwise.
    These may be noisy and not very effective in room heating.
    It is best to buy a UL approved heater from a reliable store.
    Don't forget to compare the warranty of the Electric Baseboard Heaters before deciding on a suitable unit.
