- 1). Unlock your iPod touch and tap the Safari icon on your home screen.
- 2). Tap the URL text field, type "about:blank" and tap "Go."
- 3). Tap the "Send To" button in the bottom menu bar. The "Send To" button's icon is an arrow emerging from a box.
- 4). Tap "Add to Home Screen," type "New Safari" in the text field and tap "Add." Tap the "New Safari" app icon every time you want to open Safari to keep the mobile browser from automatically refreshing your open tabs.
