Lester Levenson: The KISS Releasing Sedona Method and Its Beneficial Results with OCD

Over the past several months, I have been working with a man in his 20's (we will call Robert) who has had a diagnosis of Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder. I employ all the techniques of the original Sedona Method, which I now call KISS Releasing, along with listening to him and being as loving as I can. He was given up on by psychology professionals, and psychiatrists were prescribing psych medications for him. I intervened in this situation, and the results have been nothing short of extraordinary. He loves our work together and has made great improvement in decreasing all the symptoms he exhibited initially. His parents support our work with great zeal and are grateful their son is getting more functional.

OCD is reported to affect 1 in 50 Americans. It is characterized by intrusive thoughts that produce anxiety, by repetitive behaviors aimed at reducing anxiety, or by a combination of such thoughts, obsessions, and behaviors/compulsions.   In my work with Robert and the Sedona Method, I ask him to take all his feelings to the three Master Programs that I teach in the course. He then releases (lets go of) the feelings under those programs, and he begins to reach a normal and stable mental state. He now has converted a part time job into full time one, and deals effectively with the stresses of that. Social life is improving for him, and he can work on his own when OCD triggers occur. When he is in an aggravated condition, he can always call me for help. This protocol is working effectively for him.

I believe these results illustrate the powerful efficacy of the Sedona Method, and my approach, KISS Releasing, in particular. It was created by physicist, Lester Levenson, in 1974, duplicating his own self healing work with a terminal heart condition in 1952. In 3 months time he regained his health, and lived until he was 85, despite the dire predictions of his physicians at the time. He was 42 when this healing occurred. He spent the rest of his life teaching others what he had experienced and trained teachers to carry on his work.

What happened in this case is this. OCD is characterized mainly by a very "noisy" mind. It is full of programs, i.e., scripts, that control the patient (subconsciously) into doing inappropriate things compulsively. The Sedona Method counteracts this, and allows the affected person to regain control over his mind. He can then decide to obey the "commands" or not and make more appropriate, conscious decisions. The result is a much happier and productive person. Tony can attest to this. He raves about the Method and our work together.

I will remind the reader that the Sedona Method is not a replacement for treatment by medical professionals, but merely an alternative to the normal treatments in the field. It may not work in all cases of OCD, but in this one, in has been highly effective.
