The Dick B. Channel on YouTube has just published its first nine programs. There are many many more programs to follow, and they will also be broadcast and archived at Take12Radio.com which broadcasts from Albany Oregon.

Channel topics cover Alcoholics Anonymous History and the Christian Recovery Movement. The introductory program explains how future programs will cover the Christian sources of A.A. -- (1) the Great Awakening of 1875 in St. Johnsbury Vermont, (2) the outreach and nondenominational Gospel and Conversion meetings convened by YMCA lay brethren, (3) the work of the Great Evangelists and Revivalists (including Dwight L. Moody, his partners Ira Sankey, John B. Gough, Allen Folger, Harry Moorhouse, and later, Billy Sunday), (4) The important role of the Gospel Rescue Missions, (5) The unique work of early Salvatation Army people in London slums, and (6) The program and practices of the Young People's Christian Endeavor Society.

Future programs will also report the Christian upbringng of A.A. cofounders Dr. Bob Smith and Bill Wilson, the founding of the Akron A.A. Christian Fellowship, a summary of its program and practices, its success rate, changes in the program when the Big Book was published, and factors historians have covered which are erroneous and have led to a misunderstanding of the differences between the early A.A. Christian Fellowship program founded in Akron in 1935 and the Oxford Group-oriented life-changing program embodied in the Big Book published by Bill Wilson in 1939.

The Dick B. YouTube Channel will not feature the author's face, nor mention his full name in order to honor A.A. anonymity traditions. It will have numerous pictures of books, manuscripts, and other historical items.

As time goes on, the channel will afford viewers a look at all of Dick B.'s 42 historical titles and how to use them effectively and individually to study A.A. history, teach Christians in recovery, form Christian recovery fellowships, conduct Christian counseling and treatment programs, and provide much-needed community resources for those seeking God's help in recovery.

The series is also part of the ongoing effort to expand the participation in the International Christian Recovery Coalition and to establish Christian Recovery Resource Centers

There will be many many many brief broadcasts covering all aspects of the subject matter. The pen name Dick B. is used. And no picture of Dick B. will appear. There will be a wide variety of pictures, books, and historical materials to enhance the appeal of the broadcasts.

Shortly Take12Radio.com will be carrying these programs, and that station is widely heard around the world.
