The Best Way to Wrap a Gift
- 1). Roll out the wrapping paper on a flat surface. Place your gift box two inches from the edge of the wrapping paper.
- 2). Use a ruler or tape measure, depending on the size of the box, to measure the height and length of your gift box. Multiply the length and width by two. Use a pair of scissors to cut paper at the specific measurements. You can use a marker to draw lines lining the measurements and to direct you where to cut. Separate the cut wrapping paper from the roll and set the roll aside.
- 3). Place the wrapping paper face side down on a flat surface. Place the box face down in the center of the paper. Grab the wrapping paper ends and pull them to the center of the box so they meet each other. Bond the paper together using a piece of tape.
- 4). Turn the box so the short end of the box is facing towards you. Fold the ends of the wrapping paper in to form tabs. Push the center of the open ended sides toward the middle of the box. Crease the paper to form a triangle. Bring the flap upward toward the top of the box. Tape the flap to the box. Do the same to form the bottom flap and tape it to the box. Repeat this step on the other side of the box.
