    • 1). Fill a bucket with enough fungicide to submerge the hybrid lily bulbs. Place the bulbs into the fungicide and allow them to sit for 10 to 20 seconds. Remove the bulbs and lay them on a paper towel.

    • 2). Choose a location for the hybrid lilies that has well-drained soil and receives direct sunlight for at least half of the day.

    • 3). Use a garden spade to dig a hole that is 4 to 6 inches deep in the soil.

    • 4). Place the bulb into the hole and cover it with soil. If green foliage is growing out of the top of the bulb, make sure it is pointing upward when you place it into the hole.

    • 5). Water the soil surrounding the hybrid lily thoroughly so that the soil is moist but not soggy. After the initial planting water every two to three days to keep the soil moist. Do not let the soil dry out. During periods of hot summer temperatures, you may need to water the lilies daily.
