    • 1). Lift the hood of the vehicle. Remove the air cleaner and the air duct hose.

    • 2). Release the throttle cables by taking the throttle lever in hand and rotating the lever all the way to open throttle. While holding the throttle open, use your other hand to remove the throttle cable ends from the lever. Once the cables are loose from the throttle lever, unscrew the two or three bolts that hold the throttle bracket to the throttle body.

    • 3). Unplug and remove all the electrical connectors from the throttle body. Unscrew the four bolts that run through the throttle body. These bolts hold it to the intake manifold. Remove the throttle body---make sure to lift off the metal gasket in between the intake and throttle body. Take care not to bend or distort this gasket, or it will need to be replaced.

    • 4). Lay the metal gasket back on the intake. Line up the throttle body with the intake and set it down on the intake. Insert the four bolts through the throttle body and tighten them with a socket and ratchet.

    • 5). Screw the bracket for the throttle cables back into place. Hold the throttle lever all the way open to replace the throttle cable ends in their respective openings. Plug in all electrical connectors. Reinstall the air cleaner and all associated hoses.
