How Do I Replace a 1999 Chevy Tahoe Composite Headlight?
- 1). Turn off your 1999 Tahoe and open the hood.
- 2). From inside the engine compartment, remove the four screws holding the composite headlight retainer in place. Set these screws aside and pull the retainer off the headlight.
- 3). Depress the retaining clip on the side of the wiring harness and pull it off the back of the headlight.
- 4). Pull the composite headlight through the front of the Tahoe and set it aside.
- 5). Insert the new composite headlight--unit number 1668--through the front of the Tahoe. Connect the wiring harness, press the retainer onto the back of the headlight and reinstall the four screws.
