How to Replace a Wiper Arm on a Saturn LS

    • 1). Place the Saturn's transmission in park or first gear (manual) and turn off the engine. Engage the emergency brake.

    • 2). Pry the wiper arm nut cover (located at the base of the wiper arm) off with a small flat-head screwdriver. Remove the wiper arm nut with a metric socket and a 3/8-inch ratchet.

    • 3). Attach the puller to the wiper arm according the manufacturer's instructions. Tighten the center screw on the puller using a 3/8-inch ratchet and a metric socket until the wiper arm is free from the wiper gear.

    • 4). Install the Saturn's new wiper arm onto the wiper gear. Install a new wiper arm nut using the 3/8-inch ratchet and a metric socket. Replace the wiper arm nut cover. Test the wipers to ensure that they function properly.
