I found out about this campground driving by when it was just about to open, and I RV camped there in 2006.
Describe your camping trip:
We loved the spacious shaded sites with cement pads and patios. It's got a new recreation hall now, with full bathrooms and a laundromat. The owner and manager are very attentive to your needs, and every effort has been made to preserve its natural beauty.
We have decided to make this our home base as we are full timers. There are lots of very neat plans for the future here too. The roads are gravel now with intentions to pave. No telephone or cable hookups available yet, but it does have WI-FI. Room for big rigs with 50 amp service, good well water and septic.
Pros: The spacious shaded sites with pads and patios. Everything else in this area are very close together. The natural setting next to a wildlife preserve.
Cons: The lack of telephone and cable may deter some people. The roads could be better and will be.
Nearby attractions: The Gulf and Bay waters. Local and nearby shopping in Corpus Christi. The best bird watching around, and fishing. Great places to eat.
Further comments:
You will want to try this campground and watch it grow. We are.
