How to Change the Rear Valance on a Mustang to a GT Valance
- 1). Pour rubbing alcohol onto the microfiber towel and rub the alcohol against the bottom of the factory bumper, where the new rear valance will attach as well as on top of the GT valance. Stick the double-sided tape onto the top of the GT valance but do not peel off the top layer.
- 2). Hold the GT valance up to the bumper and clamp it in place using the vise grips. Use the drill and drill bits to drill a locating hole in the factory bumper through the hole in the GT valance. Then unclamp the valance from the bumper using the vise grips.
- 3). Peel off the top layer of the double-sided tape and then lift it onto the rear bumper, lining it up with the factory holes. Push the factory clips into the bumper to align it correctly. Then use the Phillips head screwdriver to screw two self-tapping screws into the bumper through the holes you drilled in Step 2.
