Remove the screws to the speaker cover and speaker on the appropriate door with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not remove the speaker from its wires. Place the speaker to the side. - 2). Remove the armrest and door panel trim. The door panel trim runs along the top of the door panel where the window comes out of the door. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the armrest and door panel trim retaining screws. Pull up on the door panel trim to remove it.
- 3). Lift the interior door panel off the door. Run your fingers around the border of the door panel and feel for small plastic rivets. Pop the door panel off the rivets with constant and steady pressure taking care not to break the plastic rivets.
- 4). Locate the window regulator. Inside the door there will be metal arms holding the automotive glass in place. The arms create and resemble an "X" shape. The two bottom points of the "X" connect to a metal arm that runs along the bottom of the automotive glass -- this is the regulator. Use a socket to remove the retaining bolts connecting the regulator to the automotive glass.
- 5). Hold the automotive glass in place and remove the regulator. Use the appropriate socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the regulator to the "X."
- 6). Work the glass free from the door with your hands. Use care or the glass will shatter.
- 7). Install the new automotive glass into the door. Reinstall the regulator using the appropriate socket wrench. Move the glass into place on the regulator and reinstall the automotive glass retaining bolt with the appropriate socket wrench.
- 8). Push the door panel back into its rivets. Use your Phillips screwdriver to reinstall the door panel trim, armrest and speaker.
