    • 1). Turn the ignition off. Place the shifter in "Park" for automatic transmissions or first gear for manual transmissions. Firmly apply the parking brake.

    • 2). Place a jack under the frame next to the wheel you wish to work on first. Lift the Prelude until the wheel has cleared the ground. Take off the lug nuts using a tire iron and remove the wheel.

    • 3). Screw a flat-faced nut onto the first stud you wish to remove. Only turn the nut a few turns, leaving it positioned at the very end of the stud. This will give you a flat surface to pound against, minimizing damage to the existing stud.

    • 4). Tap the stud out of the hub using a hammer. When the head has popped out the back of the hub, remove the nut that was just attached and pull the stud out from the rear. Repeat this method to remove the rest of the studs.

    • 5). Insert the ARP studs from behind the hub. They won't completely fit into the holes in the hub. The tip of the studs are designed to be compressed into the hole as they are pulled in from the front. Place a stack of flat washers around the stud, followed by an acorn wheel nut. Tighten the nut until the stud is completely fitted inside the hole.

    • 6). Replace the wheel and lug nuts. Torque down the nuts tightly and gently lower the jack.
