How to Install an Adjustable Line Output Converter
- 1). Locate the grey and green speaker wires protruding from the back of the factory car stereo.
- 2). Snip the speaker wires half way from the back of the stereo. Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from these leads.
- 3). Pull off the pre-stripped tips of the wires on the line out converter. Crimp a barrel connector on each of these wires.
- 4). Insert the wires from the factory car stereo into the other end of the crimp connectors. Secure these with the crimp tool.
- 5). Connect the RCA output of the line out converter to the amplifier. Turn the gain of the amp all the way down, as well as the gains on the converter.
- 6). Turn the volume of the stereo up to 3/4 volume. Slowly increase the output of the converter until the volume is at a clean, undistorted level. If the output remains too low at max output from the converter, slowly increase gain at the amp.
