How to Make a Pocket Bike Muffler Louder
- 1). Drill 10 to 15 holes evenly spaced on your pocket bike muffler. If this isn't loud enough, try the next step.
- 2). Unscrew the three bolts attaching the muffler to the exhaust pipe from your engine. Pull the muffler off the exhaust pipe. Removing your muffler will make your bike loud. In some states, a muffler is required. Check with your state's department of transportation for regulations. If you don't want to go through this trouble, move onto the next step.
- 3). Cut the base off of a pop can. Cut slits every 1/2 inch around the sipping hole to create mini fins to the edge of the can. Place the bottom of the can on the exhaust pipe and crush it down to fit the exhaust pipe. Screw a C clamp onto the pop can to secure the can to the exhaust pipe. If this isn't loud enough, try the next step.
- 4). Remove the plastic top off of an aerosol mousse can. Make sure the can is empty and use your pliers to pull the seal off the top of the can. Drill a hole in the bottom of the can and through the middle of the can. Place the can onto the exhaust pipe. Screw a C clamp onto the top of the mousse can to secure the can to the exhaust pipe.
