    • 1). Open the driver's door. Grasp the interior trim piece mounted on the upper side of the door window opening and pull it straight down until the retaining clips release. Repeat this procedure for the passenger's side molding.

    • 2). Remove the front and rear interior trim pieces above the front windshield and the rear glass in the same fashion as above. Remove the five retaining screws from the rear piece with a Phillips head screwdriver on hatchback models only.

    • 3). Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the retaining screws from both interior windshield pillar moldings. Pull the moldings straight out from each pillar. Remove the retaining screws from the map light at the front of the headliner with the Phillips head screwdriver. Unplug the wiring connectors from each sun visor. Remove the retaining screws from the sun visor mounting plate with the Phillips head screwdriver. Lower the visors from the headliner.

    • 4). Pry the lens from the dome light with a flat blade screwdriver. Remove the dome light retaining screws with the Phillips head screwdriver. Lower the light from the headliner and pull apart the wiring connector. Remove the coat hooks on each side of the headliner by backing out the retaining screws with the Phillips head screwdriver.

    • 5). Remove the retaining bolts from the seat belt mounting pivots on each side of the headliner with a Torx head screwdriver. Lower the pivots from the headliner. Remove the headliner retaining clips from each side of the headliner at the side window openings with a pair of needle-nose pliers.

    • 6). Pivot the windshield-mounted rear view mirror upwards and out of the way. Work the headliner downwards and then forward. Rotate the headliner 90 degrees and work it out of one of the door openings then out of the car.
