Money is tough to hold on to, especially in today's economic climate.
Every penny counts, and if you have ADD/ADHD, you may be facing some unique challenges.
The trick is to identify these problems, correct them as best you can, and save your money.
People living with ADD have challenges in three areas; attention, implusivity and hyperactivity.
What is interesting is though everyone with ADD shares each in some way, everyone deals with one predominant mode.
For example, I discovered my predominant mode of operating is implusivity.
When it comes to money, I am constantly checking myself to make sure I'm not making an impulsive buy.
You may want to pay attention to which mode is predominant for you.
The Problem Some people who have ADD/ADHD have a hard time remembering things.
Perhaps this group's predominant mode is inattention.
For instance, you may go to the grocery store, place a bill on the counter and forget about it.
You may be over charged for an item, and not realize it till much later, especially if you're distracted at the time.
Being easily distracted is a common trait for people who have ADD/ADHD.
It doesn't make you stupid by any means, although if you make a mistake, you may feel like it.
However, it's important to be aware of the potential to make this mistake, anticipate this may happen in the future and try to concentrate in the moment while in that situation.
Possible Solutions There are a number of solutions besides the one mentioned above, that will help you focus and keep your money in your pocket.
Understand that first and foremost, money is energy and as such must be respected and appreciated.
Part of holding on to money is directly related to this concept.
If you do not pay attention to money, the natural result is you will not be able to keep it very long.
Getting a good night's rest every night is just one of them.
People, whether you have ADD/ADHD or not, function poorly if they don't get enough rest.
Sleeplessness can make you forgetful, and in most cases, this can be doubly true if you have ADD/ADHD.
Proper diet is another solution to a complex problem.

Proper diet and nutrition is a key element to leading a healthy, energetic lifestyle.
It's a good idea that we don't lose sight of that fact.
