How to Get Wax Crayon Out of Car Upholstery
- 1). Scrape off as much crayon as you can with a blunt knife.
- 2). Spray the remainder of the stain with a lubricant, such as WD-40, and leave it for a few minutes. It will dilute the wax crayon, making it easier to remove.
- 3). Scrub the stain with a hard-bristled brush to loosen the wax.
- 4). Wipe the area with paper towels.
- 5). Apply more lubricant and add a mild soap and water to the stain too. Scrub with the brush.
- 6). Wipe the stain with a wet sponge to finish clearing off the stain.
- 7). Repeat the procedure, if crayon residue remains.
- 1). Cover the stain with a paper bag and press the bag with a hot iron, letting the heat go through the bag to melt the wax.
- 2). Place a clean part of the paper bag over the stain and iron again, if wax remains on the seat.
- 3). Repeat the process until the crayon is completely removed.
