Smaller Models

• At the bottom of BMW's price range are the BMW 1 Series and 3 Series models, some of the smaller vehicles produced by the company. Consumers today can choose to purchase the 128i or 135i which are available in coupe and convertible body styles. The same combination of a naturally-aspirated engine and a twin turbo engine are respectively used in the BMW 328i and 335i. The 3 series offers drivers more choices than the 1 Series, as the 3 Series cars are available in coupes, sedans, sport wagons, and can be equipped with four wheel drive. A diesel engine is also available.
  
  

Luxury Models

• The midsize BMW 5 Series is offered as a sedan and strikes a balance between the sporty 3 Series and the luxurious big-body 7 Series. The 5 Series is available in the U.S. as a 528i, 535i, and 550i. The first two models share the same engines with the BMW 3 Series and 1 Series, while the 550i equips the car with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine. At the higher end of BMW's price range lay the 6 and 7 Series models. The 650i combines the amenities of a 7 Series in a two-door convertible model. The 7 Series is BMW's flagship model and offers drivers several models: the 740i, 750i, and 760i, all of which are available in extended wheelbase "iL" versions that offer increased rear passenger space. A hybrid model is also available.
  
  

M Performance Vehicles

• BMW's M Performance division offers high-performance versions of some of its regular models. The M distinction marks an increase in horsepower, improved suspension tuning, and sport exterior tweaks. At the base of the M line is the 1 Series M Coupe, followed by the M3 sedan, coupe, and convertible. There are also M versions of the X5 and X6, aptly named the X5M and X6M.
  
  

Z4

• The BMW Z4 is the manufacturer's two-seater roadster and succeeded the Z3 roadster. The Z4 features a retractable hardtop and is offered in three different trim levels. At the bottom of the price range is the Z4 sDrive30i which produces 255 horsepower from its six cylinder engine. At the middle of the price range is the Z4 sDrive35i, which features the same engine found in the 335i and 535i. The top of the line Z4 is the sDrive35is adds an aerodynamic sport kit to the sDrive35i as well as sportier rims and a slight increase in horsepower.
  
  

Made in USA

• Three different lines of SUVs are sold by BMW in the U.S., all of which are produced in BMW's South Carolina factory. The X3 is the smallest SUV offered and is available with a naturally aspired 2.8-liter inline six cylinder engine or a turbocharged 3.5-liter inline six cylinder engine. The X5 is slightly larger than the X3 and has similar amenities as the BMW 5 Series cars. Gasoline, diesel, and hybrid motors are available for the X5. The X6 is designed to be a more sporty X5, offering a smoother roofline and seating for four. Like the X5, it's available with a hybrid engine, a 3.5-liter turbo engine, or 5.0-liter V-8 engine.
