    • 1). Raise the rear of the vehicle. Place wood blocks in front of the front wheels and lift up on the rear of the vehicle using your vehicle's rear jack point located just behind the trunk (toward the bumper). Place jack stands under the rear pinch welds and lower the vehicle onto the jack stands. The rear pinch welds are small sections of the uni-body on your vehicle. They will be located underneath the rear doors (or near the rear of the vehicle, if you have a two-door vehicle) and will protrude below the frame/body of the vehicle by a few centimeters. They are normally 2 to 3 inches in length and the center of them is indented, or "pinched", to provide structural strength. Some vehicles have "mock" pinch welds that are small sections of the uni-body that have been reinforced to support the weight of the vehicle. These will be located around the area where pinch welds would otherwise be located. These are the only designated support points of your vehicle.

    • 2). Climb under the vehicle and locate the oxygen sensor. The rear sensor will be screwed into the exhaust piping and will look like a small plug.

    • 3). Disconnect the wiring running to the rear sensor.

    • 4). Unbolt the sensor using a socket wrench and an O2 sensor socket.

    • 5). Thread and tighten the new oxygen sensor using an O2 sensor socket and socket wrench.

    • 6). Reconnect the electrical leads to the O2 sensor and lower the vehicle to the ground.
