- 1). Verify that the music files you are attempting to play on your Insignia digital photo frame are standard MP3 files and not from licensed music download services. These files contain digital rights management (DRM) encoding, which the Insignia frame cannot overcome.
- 2). Connect your memory card or USB drive to your computer. When the computer recognizes the storage device, leave the folder open, as you will be copying your music files to this location.
- 3). Navigate to the folder where your music files are stored, then select all of the files that you wish to play on the photo frame. To select multiple files at once, hold down the "Ctrl" button.
- 4). Press "Ctrl + C" when all of the music files have been selected. This copies the files.
- 5). Open the window for your storage device, then press "Ctrl + V." This will paste all of the music files you just copied. Close this window and eject the storage device from the computer.
- 6). Turn on the photo frame.
- 7). Use the directional arrows on the remote control to select "Music" from the "Select Mode" screen, then press the "Enter" button on the remote control.
- 8). Select your desired music file by scrolling through all of the available files, then press "Enter" to begin playing the file. To stop playing music, press the "Exit" button on the remote control.
