Guest posting, is it for you? So you want to drive traffic to your web blog, not an easy task for a new blog as the search engines won't have an understanding of what your site is all about! Puzzled at what you can do? Well you can get yourself and your blog in front of huge audiences by using the power of other peoples blogs, as a guest blogger.
These "other" sites are going to be very busy and need expert posts to satisfy the demand of their readership, so you can actually be of huge benefit to them by offering your services..
...
for free as a guest poster.
But why should you do it for free? Bear in mind that you are just starting off on your very own blogging journey and as such probably have no track-record to base things on, why should another blogger wish to pay you to write for them at this stage? Okay, so what is in it for me? Depending on where you aim to post, you will be in front of so many more people than your own blog can develop at this stage, just imagine 10,000 visitors all seeing your post, how you solve their problems and answer their questions - remember that when a visitor searches for information it is always based upon either their own personal life or business life, so you are helping to provide quality information that can save them time, money or both plus improve the quality of their own life - its no small feat! You should be looking to write on topics that you enjoy and find stimulating, that way you can pass off your expert status to the reader.
Ready to make your approach? Remember that the sites for bloggers tend to be busy ones, and when you make your approach you should have at least done some research on the site, the style of the content, if they take on guest posters.
When submitting your post you should provide the finished article so that it can be read and submitted to the site via WordPress, including visuals as if you were posting it on your own site.
You can save the images to your own server for upload plus is always good practice to include the jpeg files in your email.
Once you have made your 1st guest post you should be able to see some additional traffic to your own blog, and with this readers that have a trust in your knowledge.
