How to Remove a Subwoofer in a Lincoln Navigator

    • 1). Open the rear hatch of the vehicle. Remove four Phillips screws from the scuff plate at the back of the hatch opening--where the rear cargo deck ends at the hatch. Pull the scuff plate off.

    • 2). Pull the weather stripping away from the hatch seal on the passenger side of the vehicle with your hands.

    • 3). Remove the Phillips screw holding on the coat hook on the right side rear panel of the cargo area.

    • 4). Insert a panel tool behind the edge of the right rear cargo area side panel. Pry outward to release the retaining clips, moving forward toward the front of the vehicle along the roof line. Stop when the panel can be pulled far enough out to access the subwoofer behind the panel.

    • 5). Remove the four 9/32-inch bolts on the perimeter of the subwoofer. Pull the subwoofer out and unplug the speaker wire connector on the back of the subwoofer.
