    Connect to Gas Line

    • 1). Close the gas cock for the appliance by turning counterclockwise to turn off the gas.

    • 2). Locate the pipe plug that is in between the burner and the regulator. Remove the pipe plug from the gas line or control valve.

    • 3). Insert the rubber plug with the attached metal tube into the plug hole using a twisting motion. Open the valves on the pressure gauge by turning them one full turn.

    • 4). Insert the plug on the other end of the tube into the right-hand valve on the front of the pressure gauge. Open the gas cock for the appliance and verify that the pilot flame is lit.

    Adjust Manifold Pressure

    • 1). Turn on a burner for the appliance by turning a knob on the front panel.

    • 2). Position the scale by turning the scale knob on the pressure gauge. The arrow for "Zero Scale" needs to be opposite of the "Low Liquid" column. Read the pressure of the gas manifold by viewing the scale on the opposite side of the "High Liquid" column.

    • 3). Remove the regulator cap on the gas line. This will expose an adjustment screw. Turn the screw counterclockwise with a screwdriver to decrease the pressure or clockwise to increase the pressure.

    • 4). Match the manifold pressure to the value recommended by the manufacturer of the appliance.
