Viewsat Ultra Set-Up Instructions
- 1). Place the receiver in a central location that's well ventilated and relatively close to your antenna system. Avoid placing the receiver in an enclosed area, which will block the airflow and cause the receiver to overheat. Do not stack other components on top of the receiver.
- 2). Insert an S-video cable into the back of your TV's "S-Video" jack. Insert the other end into your receiver's "S-Video" jack (located on the back of the receiver to the right of the "Serial Port").
- 3). Insert a coaxial cable into the "Dish In" terminal (located on the back of the receiver in the upper left corner). Twist the coaxial receptor tightly around the threaded terminal. Insert the other end of the coaxial cable into your dish system's "Dish Out" terminal. The connection must be firm and not loose.
- 4). Insert the cable from your audio Hi-Fi system into the "S/PDIF" terminal (located in the back of the receiver to the right of the "S-Video" connector). This will allow sound to carry from your TV or cable source to your audio system.
- 5). Turn the remote control onto its face and remove the battery cover. Insert two AA alkaline batteries into the batter chamber in accordance with the polar indicators printed on the inside of the chamber. Replace the battery cover.
- 6). Push the "Power" button on the front of the receiver or on the remote control to turn the receiver on. The AC main power switch on the back of the unit must be switched on.
- 7). Push the "Menu" button on the remote control to open the main menu to begin automatically programming your channels. Using the remote control's four-way navigation buttons and "OK" button, select "Installation" then "Antenna Setup." Choose your satellite from the list that appears, and follow the onscreen prompts. You're asked if you want to scan for channels. Push "OK," and the receiver will begin to scan. All channels found will be saved to your receiver's memory for future access.
