Learn to Use Adobe Flash on Your Android Devices

Using the Flash Player on your Android devices is not easy especially if you do not know your way around it. However, you can utilize the guide given here to make it possible without any hassle.

We all use the Adobe Flash program for making things work and continue our work online without any hassles. However, there seems to be news about the program discontinuation or soon to be withdrawing the support. Nonetheless, if you too are running system on Jelly Bean, KitKat or Lollipop then there is a way to deal with this issue head-on.

The issue

We still want to work with Flash as intended without the hassle of installing or looking for numerous other applications that might work in its place. Switching in between apps is not an option but an annoyance. Anything that needs to work with should be seamless support, and Flash is one such program to work with without the hassle.

The Pros

Although, it seems that everything is in a mess when you know that Flash does not work with KitKat, Jelly Bean, and Lollipop, but there is still a way. You can use some tweaks that you can apply to make things work as per your convenience. Even if, you are using Google Nexus 10 or other Android tablet or KitKat phones, you can still make relevant changes.
Android KitKat phone and Android Lollipop

When you are running system on Android KitKat then, you can apply the following steps to run Adobe Flash:

€ To add Flash go to Settings-> Security and give permissions to install apps from unknown sources

€ Now you need the installation file for the program that is not easily available. The download of it is not possible as Google has disabled the option to download or install any file from its origin. However, a Dropbox download is available for easy installation. Save it to your account folder, and then you can download it from the Dropbox to your device.

€ In your device go to the Notification bar and drag your finger down for revealing the notification for Flash player download. Tap the window to install the program.

€ Now to enable the file in your Android device download the Dolphin browser that is available at Google Play. Go to Settings-> Dolphin Jetpack, enable it->Web Content

€ A window of the Flash Player will appear, from here on you need to turn it on using the €Always On' option

€ If you are searching for another option then, you need to check with Add Flash option to your device that will give you Puffin browser to perform your tasks. Additionally, you will have to pay attention to it that Puffin works well with Android Lollipop too. You just need to go to Google Play to get it.

Android Jelly Bean

If you are using the Jelly Bean then, you should follow these steps to run Flash:

€ Download the player first on your device or Android tablet using the Google Play. Another way is to search for the.APK extension file for flash player.

€ You should enable changes in your device that will help you to install the player. Go to Settings-> Security-> Unknown sources, check- mark against it. Choosing the option will help you in installing apps from Play Store.

€ Begin the installation of your player to initiate the process in your device.

€ Install a browser like Mozilla Firefox that is capable of supporting the file type. Go to Google Play to download the browser. Tap the horizontal lines on the browser window and choose the Plug-ins, remember to enable the option for better Flash experience.

€ Now you are ready to use the content that appears on any website as you have all the resources. When you launch the browser on your Android tablet, it will be much easier for you to use the relevant player. Websites will be able to distinguish between the kinds of iDevice you are using to view a web page.

You can use an add-on like the Phony; it is available for free. The add-on comes handy when you are using a mobile device but would want it to appear as a desktop for a website. Using Phony add-on you can easily mimic your device into appearing as a desktop browser. Go to the menu after installing Phony and then choose Desktop Firefox as User Agent.
