How to Write a Tract
- 1). Explain the Biblical view of human sinfulness in relation to God. State that the Bible portrays the human race as prone to selfishness, greed, exploitation and cruelty. State that without God, human beings are destined to lead lives of quiet desperation. Emphasize each person's need to find forgiveness for past wrongs and freedom from guilt and fear.
- 2). Give a succinct account of the Biblical story. Write about how God called Abraham to be the father of a people of promise, gave the law of liberty to Moses, and sent prophets to call the nations to live in righteousness and peace. State that Jesus came to fulfill the promises made to Israel and that his death on the cross completed the sacrifice of his life.
- 3). Tell your readers that they can be accepted into the family of God and receive newness of life through faith in Jesus Christ. Emphasize that this means giving whole heart and mind in service to God, being baptized and becoming part of a community of faith. State that by doing so they receive into their hearts the joyful hope of the resurrection and the renewal of all creation from sin and suffering into a kingdom of glory.
