Evidently, there are great and numerous benefits that accrue to us from our faith (belief) in God or Christ Jesus, such as healing for our bodies; deliverance from satanic or demonic oppressions, afflictions and even possession; interventions in our affairs, supernatural provisions of needs of life; etc.
There is however, what is referred to as "The End of Your Faith", the ultimate or climax of the benefits of your faith in God or Christ.
And that is the salvation of your soul.
Whatever one's faith (belief/trust) in God or Christ achieved or got for one, if it did not achieve or get salvation for the one's soul, it achieved nothing, because every achievement that ends only in this life is not a good achievement (Mk.
8:36-37).
For faith however to achieve its end it must pass through some trials, just as the gold, by fire (I Peter 1:7).
The value and beauty of gold depends on its ability to survive the test of the fire.
Similarly, the ability of faith in God/Christ to achieve or receive its end depends on its survival of the trials it must go through.
Anyone whose faith in God has not been tested with some "fires" and it survived same should not claim to have faith in God or Christ.
True faith is one that has been tested and proved.
This article is focusing on Trials of Faith.
And we shall be using Abraham, the Father of Faith, as our case study or guide.
Abraham's life or walk with God provides a vivid illustration or picture of Trails of Faith.
We shall consider the various faces of Abraham's trials of faith to draw some important lessons on the topic or subject.
From Abraham's life and walk with God and those of some other men that walked with God of old, we can observe that God tests or allows those who profess or claim to have faith or believe in Him to be tried on certain important or major areas/points in their lives.
