    • 1). Ensure the motorcycle is parked on a flat surface. Set the kickstand and chock the wheels to prevent the motorcycle from rolling forward or backward.

    • 2). Loosen the two 12 mm bolts securing the caliper over the wheel with a socket wrench. The bolts will be on the left side of the wheel.

    • 3). Wrap a rag around the caliper before removing from the wheel. This will prevent the caliper from scratching the hub when it is pulled off the rotor.

    • 4). Loosen the pin holding the pads in place with a 5 mm Allen wrench. The pads will fall out once the pin is removed.

    • 5). Place one of the brake pads back into the caliper toward the inside. Press the piston back into the caliper by pushing the brake pad into the piston with a C-clamp. Remove the old brake pad and C-clamp once the piston is flush with the caliper.

    • 6). Place the new brake pads into the caliper. Secure the calipers in place with the pin. Tighten the pin in place with a 5 mm Allen wrench.

    • 7). Place the caliper over the rotor. Tighten with the socket wrench.

    • 8). Replace the brake pads on the remaining wheel the same way.
