How to Troubleshoot an iPhone Freezing
- 1). Switch off your iPhone by holding the "Sleep/Wake" button on the top-right side of the phone for several seconds and using your finger to move the slider that appears to switch off the phone. Power on the iPhone by holding the "Sleep/Wake" button until the phone switches on.
- 2). Perform a hard reset by holding down the "Sleep/Wake" and "Home" buttons simultaneously until the iPhone restarts.
- 3). Connect your iPhone to your computer using the included USB cable, plugging the USB end of the cable directly into one of your PC's main USB ports.
- 4). Open Apple iTunes, select your iPhone from the left column and click "Sync" in the bottom right corner of the to sync your phone.
- 5). Update your iPhone by selecting it from the left column in iTunes, choosing the "Summary" tab and clicking the "Check for Update" button. If your iPhone requires an update, iTunes will walk you through the update process.
